LaPonda Edmondson, DrPH, MHS is the President of the North Carolina Healthcare Foundation (NCHF), the 501c3 affiliate of the North Carolina Healthcare Association (NCHA) and Senior Vice President, NCHA. In collaboration with hospitals, health systems, and community partners, she is responsible for leading the Foundation’s multiple innovative initiatives and cross-sector programs to drive strategy and determine impact in a manner that is consistent with the mission to improve the health of North Carolinians.
Dr. Edmondson is recognized for her strategic vision, collaborative approach, and commitment to driving positive change in healthcare delivery. With over 15 years of experience in health research, grant administration, and community outreach, she is a public health practitioner with a passion for chronic disease prevention and management, eliminating health disparities, and advocating for vulnerable populations. Dr. Edmondson is a Raleigh, NC native and earned her Master of Health Sciences degree from Western Carolina University and Doctor of Public Health degree from Georgia Southern University.
