Jody Fleming

Jody Fleming is the president of NCHA Strategic Partners, the shared solutions group of the North Carolina Healthcare Association (NCHA), and serves as a senior vice president at NCHA. She leads business development, strategic planning, operations, contract development, and statewide marketing initiatives. Since joining NCHA in August 2000, Jody has played a pivotal role in advancing healthcare solutions across North Carolina and saving healthcare providers millions of dollars in spend.

With a wealth of experience in healthcare leadership, Jody has served multiple terms on various industry boards, including the North Carolina Association of Healthcare Resource Materials Managers (NCAHRMM), the North Carolina Healthcare Financial Management Association (NCHFMA), and the Association for Home and Hospice Care of North Carolina (AHHCNC). Additionally, Jody is a past president of the Association of Healthcare Solutions (AHS), a national network of hospital association shared service leaders.

In 2021, Jody was honored with the Triangle Business Journal’s Health Care Hero Award for her instrumental role in sourcing and procuring $25 million in personal protective equipment (PPE) for hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic and developing a strategic plan to distribute supplies amid a volatile supply chain.

Jody holds a bachelor’s degree in healthcare management from Appalachian State University and an MBA with a concentration in strategic management from Liberty University. With over 35 years of experience in healthcare, including physician practice management, she also obtained her insurance license in 2017 for health, sickness, life, and disability and is currently working toward her property and casualty license.

A Winston Salem, North Carolina native, Jody now resides in Apex, North Carolina, with her husband Barry, whom she married in 2011. Together, they are passionate about animal rescue and actively volunteer with several charitable organizations, including Triangle Beagle Rescue. They currently share their home with four adopted beagles—Linus, Louis, Jack, and Andy—and continue to foster dogs in need.
